Infinite Blessings

Numbers 23:20

The prophet Balaam was hired by king Balak to curse the people of Israel. However, when he goes to curse them, God takes control of Balaam and utters these words – I have received a command to bless; he has blessed, and I cannot change it. In (Galatians 3:13) we read that we are redeemed from the curse of the law so that we can be partakers in the blessing of Abraham. The blessings of Abraham are so powerful that they cannot be reversed. Balaam and Balak tried to reverse the blessing on the people of Israel, but they realized it was impossible. Finally, we see the conclusion of this incident in Numbers 24:9. It is God’s declaration over the people of Israel.

As His children, we have protection when we know that we are blessed by the Lord. Anyone who intends to harm will be harmed; likewise, anyone who does good to us will be blessed and receive the good in their life. Therefore, do not worry about the snares of the enemy, the schemes of the wicked, or the curses of men. Numbers 23:23 – confirms that there is no divination or sorcery against the people of Israel, which implies that no black magic can ever work on God’s blessed people.

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, let this be a resounding affirmation that because of the promise made to Abraham, we are blessed, and all the families of the earth are blessed (Genesis 12:2-3)
