Colorful Humble Text

Source of Lasting Joy

Psalms 78:17

Here, we read about how God had cared for the people of Israel. He provided food, water protection, and miracles and delivered them from the oppression of Egypt; now, forgetting the awesomeness of God, the people tested Him. They provoked him by asking for the food they craved. In James 4:3, we read how the prayers made were not requests but efforts to make God meet their selfish desires. So, it is never about the need but the lust or pleasures.God gave them what they asked at such times, but he sent leanness to their souls. (Psalm 106:15).

We must examine ourselves before we go to God and ask him something. Yes, we have the freedom to approach our heavenly father and access God through the blood of Jesus. However, we must be mindful not to pester Him. God may give in, but it will never be a blessing.

Dear child of God, remember that Godliness with contentment is a great gain (I Timothy 6:6), and running behind the fanciful things will result in danger. Let’s, therefore, look to God and be humble and content.Blessings!
