Earth Tale

You walk on me every day without a thought of me,

Perhaps am taken for granted, that’s the way I see,

But there is so much in me and has always been,

I wonder who’d stop and discover the unseen.

When the rain falls on me, I emit a fragrance,

That makes you pause and sniff the essence.

It’s uniqueness you cannot, my friend, deny,

You cannot recreate it no matter how much you try.

Have you wondered my age and what all I have seen?

If I could speak, I’d tell you all that has been.

I’d tell you who was here before you and you’d be amazed,

Some of them you wouldn’t believe and surely be dazed!

If you were wise, you’d know that I wasn’t born out of a collision 

Wonder why the human heart cannot accept the truth about creation.

Have you seen the beauty that rises out, at the same time, inside of me?

Life comes out of me and again the dead are buried in me.

Nothing about me has changed since my birth,

I am as good as He made me worth.

I was without form and void I remember,

Till His spoken Word created me, a wonder!

He said so Himself, “Heaven and Earth may pass away,

But My words will never pass away”, it’s true I say.

Because, soon I will go and the new Heaven and Earth will come,

Just like He said, it will be done!

I would certainly hope that by then my friend,

You’d know Who to trust and on Whom you should depend.

The Lamb of God is the One True King, believe Him!

Then, when your body rests in me, You soul will be safe, with Him.
