Trust – The Firm Foundation
Psalms 11 (1-3)
For a believer, a firm foundation is to always trust in the Lord and never lean on one’s own understanding because our understanding can shake the foundation of our trust. If the foundations are shaken or destroyed, it is impossible to withstand the enemy’s attacks. That’s why the Bible insists on shaping our understanding so that the foundation of trust in God is never shaken.
To trust means: Even though we don’t see an outcome, yet to hold on to the convictions. Similar to faith, when we confess, we see in spirit what will happen even when the situations don’t offer any clue for such an outcome or result. In testing times or deep crises, we must trust God and believe He is faithful. We must gather the promises such as – I will never leave or forsake you, or I have plans to prosper you to secure our foundation. Only when anchored in Him, can we be at peace amid the storm. There will be no panic or anxiety because, we don’t give up or give in when our foundation of trust is intact.
Dear child of God, our God is trustworthy, and though heaven and earth may pass, His Word will remain. I encourage you to hold fast to His promises and trust Him under all circumstances. Know that He who began the good work in in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. (Philippians 1:6)
God Bless!
