A New Creation in Christ

Titus 3:3-7

The Bible here explains what we were and what we are now. Previously, we were in sin, but now, two things have taken place:

  • Cleansing — where Jesus has washed away our sins.
  • Regeneration — where we become a new creation or are born again.

In simpler terms, the blood of Jesus not only washes away our sins but also our old nature The good news is that we put on Christ and we become a different person. We were once living according to the nature of the world, and now we are regenerated to live according to the nature of God. The work of a man, our determination, decision, or our will, cannot accomplish this incredible act. It is simply the grace of God.

(Galatians 2:20) Paul says that I am crucified with Christ and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. This means our old nature is replaced by Christ’s nature and believing this can strengthen our confidence. The Word of God declares that we are not only forgiven but have become a new creation, offering reassurance of our true identity in Christ.

Dear child of God, grasp the truth that you are a new creation, regenerated by the power of God. This truth is sufficient to set us free from the daily cares of life and from the stronghold of sin. This new nature will not only bless you but make you a channel of blessing.

God bless!
