God is in Control

Daniel 2:20 and 1 Chronicles 29 serve as powerful reminders of God’s sovereignty. Highlighting these scriptures encourages believers to trust in His divine authority and power.

Daniel praised God from a place of deep trust. He understood something very important — that God holds all power, all wisdom, and all authority. He is the one who raises kings and removes them. He is the one who reveals what is hidden in the darkness. Light itself dwells with Him. Likewise, King David understood this truth in 1 Chronicles 29. After Israel had given a great offering to God, David humbly said — Lord, who are we to give You anything? Everything we have given You, You first gave to us. All power, all might, all victory belongs to You alone. Recognizing God’s wisdom and power should fill us with confidence and inspire us to trust His divine plan.

Often, when we are afraid, we blame ourselves, the people around us and the circumstances. In an utter state of confusion, we feel unsure about what tomorrow holds or where life is taking us. But let us hold on to this truth today — our God knows. He sees. And He is in perfect control. The Bible assures us that He knows how to save His righteous ones, lift His people, and protect them. Remember, God’s sovereignty is a source of deep reassurance, helping us feel secure even in uncertainty. Only if we can learn to say, “Lord, not my will, but Yours be done,” for everything, including our plans and aspirations, can we have the blessed assurance that He will guide us through every season and situation.

Dear child of God, the best way to walk in victory is to surrender to God. When we surrender, we find peace even in the middle of a storm. We remain calm, assured of the outcome. Because the Bible declares — thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ Jesus.

Blessings!
