At Peace with God
Colossians 1:20
Sin caused a separation between God and us, but through the blood of Jesus, the separation was removed, and reconciliation was made complete. The peace that Jesus established through His cross is not merely peace among people, but peace between God and mankind.
When we call God Jehovah Shalom, we acknowledge Him as the Lord who gives peace. When we read about the sandals of peace in the armour of God, it implies that peace is the foundation of our lives and gives us the confidence to move forward. When Jesus was born, the angels announced His birth, singing: “Glory to God in heaven and on earth, be peace.” His birth fulfilled God’s promise to send His Son, and His death on the cross fulfilled the work of reconciliation.
Dear child of God, remember that God is not against you. Through Jesus Christ, He has already made peace with you. You are accepted, loved, and brought near to Him. The cross is not only a place of suffering, but also a place of great victory, where reconciliation was completed. Therefore, hold firmly to this truth and move forward with confidence, knowing that we are at peace with God. This peace will strengthen us and guide us in every step of our lives.
Blessings!
